Vogue Australia, October 2008. Myf Shepherd, shot by photographer Max Doyle.
I can't wait to see the Miu Miu Spring/Summer '09 ad campaign, rumored to feature Katie Holmes (umm..) alongside the lithesome Australian Myf Shepherd, Darya Kurovska, Elena Lomkova, Imogen Morris Clarke (one of my favorites), Katie Fogarty, Sophie Srej, Tilda Lindstam and Yulia Leontieva. Quite a number of girls, ain't it? Whatever it is-- you can bet your disco pants off that it's going to be really interesting. Kick-arse duo Mert & Marcus are in for the job.
Topshop black leather jacket, Hanes mens white v-neck, Topshop latex leggings, Wet Seal patent lace-up boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs "Strippy Zippy Nati" bag, Diva by Miss Selfridge silver ring
What I wore to go on a month-long quest for slouch beanies/sequined tees ala Proenza Schouler (down below/click "outfit" label) with a maternal parent-- almost similiar, but I couldn't find my items online. I wore a leather jacket & lace-up boots by Zara, vintage gold chain-strap bag, faux leather leggings by Forever 21 and my father's tattered white t-shirt. This post would look so good with a picture, wouldn't it?

I've always loved the En Vogue spreads in Vogue Paris-- now often styled by (proudly) my genius, leggy style icon cum Vogue Paris assistant stylist Geraldine Saglio; on the potential most coveted items of the season. Obviously mostly everything they desire, we end up doing so too. The power of the Vogue Paris Dream Team. You can't deny it.
One of the best footwear produced by Chloe. I'll need a moment to take it in. (Okay, so I've been taking it in since a couple months ago but still, staring hurts none). I am on a quest to search for a perfect slouch beanie ala Alexander Wang. Can't find it anywhere here in Malaysia.. I hope Topshop brings in some because we can always, always rely on Topshop for carbon copies. Yes. God loves me.

Hmm I might need to tone down the excessive love for monochromes. I am also working on a genius/evil scheme to get the M by MJ bag for my sweet 16th coming in December.. because the pain from the weighty pricetag of the Alexander Wang zippered hobo is too unbearable to take. Cross your fingers for me, will you?
P/S: Does anyone know if Commes des Garcons for H&M have arrived in Italy? My sweet best friend is going over the land of chiselled beauts and Rei has taken over my mind. Damn you, Rei.

I've been more and more enticed by black on black ensembles lately, notably this stronger love comes after a lot of time watching Yohji, Limi Feu (no surprise, they are family anyway), Commes des Garcons & Hussein Chalayan. Rad Hourani also took part in capturing my love for black on black-- the multiple layers of textured noir fabric is just too perfect. Sadly I can't get full-length photos of his Fall lookbook (if I do, I'll undoubtedly share). Karla also found Hannah Marshall (her staple color is black). Leather and chiffon? Three words: ME WANT NOW.
But for Spring next season, I'm pre-enjoying the playful palettes at Richard Nicoll.
When all you see is fitted leather jackets with leggings reigning over the models-- you just can't help but smile (or laugh/spit/insert appropriate reaction here) at Iekeliene's ensembles. And you've seen this coming-- I am intensely envious of Raquel's Balmain take. Too blessed. Too blessed..
Kate Somers and Nathan Sutherland for Dazed & Confused December 2008. Styling by Katie Shillingford (epic stylist, by the way), shot by Daniel Sannwald.
There were a lot more new faces captured on the Volte Face editorial, but I love this best. It's good to know the once "kicked out of a show because she gained 5 pounds" Ali M is booking editorials and ad campaigns again. And just how cute is that 2nd shot!
It is almost disturbing how I can name them all from behind. And the brand of their pants and shoes. I scare me sometimes. Oh dear God, I love Geraldine Saglio (2nd from left). Look at that legs. For the win!

Such a staple item for fall, no? I live in a tropical country-- but just couldn't resist the whole masculinity enclosed in the shape, zippers and studs. Obviously our lives would be compete with a Rick Owens piece.
